Treasurer of the Board of Trustees

Rhubaba Gallery and Studios are looking for a committed individual with financial experience to take on the voluntary role of Treasurer to expand our expertise in that area and build upon the range of current skills within the Board of Trustees.

We require a dynamic and motivated person who is sympathetic to the aims and objectives of Rhubaba Gallery and Studios, and we expect Trustees to contribute actively to the Board by giving strategic direction; setting overall policy; defining goals and setting targets; evaluating performance; and ensuring the charity's effective and efficient administration and financial stability.

The role of Treasurer on the board requires:
Working knowledge of reading and reviewing charitable finance books and accounts
Proficiency with excel spreadsheets
Some prior knowledge of Arts funding in Scotland
Availability for up to four additional meetings per year with the committee member/s responsible for book-keeping and accounts in order to support the delivery of finance updates at board meetings and in advance of annual OSCR reporting

Rhubaba's Board of Trustees is an advisory Board set-up to support the committee to achieve their aims in line with the charitable aims and mission of the organisation.

Board Member posts are voluntary and unpaid. Trustees are required to attend in-person four board meetings that happen quarterly each year (usually during weekday evenings at 6.30pm for approx 2 hours). We are currently conducting Board interaction via Zoom and email.

Deadline for applications: Midnight Monday 30th January 2023. Informal interviews will be conducted via Zoom w/c February 6th 2023.
