Care, Resistance ... Joy!

Workshop series exploring care, community and radical joy.

Rhubaba is excited to share the first strand of our programme for 2022.

Care, Resistance... Joy! is a public project exploring collective joy as a radical practice for constructing better ways of living and working together. A response to collective grief and crisis, the project aims to provide a space for respite, reflection, and community; informed by Queer-Ecology and Decolonial thought, as well as legacies of collective action.

The programme considers structures of care, power, and community whilst centring joyful acts of resistance through creative practices and methods of living well.

Taking place over the spring and summer of 2022, sessions will be led by selected artists and facilitators: Sunanda Mesquita, Ella Yolande, The Institue for Post-natural Studies, Emilia Beatriz, Sandra Alland and Etzali Hernández.
