A singing workshop

with Wounded Knee

Saturday 31 January 2015, 11am-3pm

Basic Mountain, 1A Hill Street, EH2 3JP

Suggested donation of £5 on the day

Join us for the first in a new series of singing workshops led by performers and artists with the Rhubaba Choir.

The first workshop will be with Wounded Knee on Saturday 31st January, 11am-3pm at Basic Mountain.

Wounded Knee is Drew Wright, a singer, experimental vocalist and occasional children’s entertainer based in Leith. For this workshop Drew will draw upon songs from his own repertoire and a range of traditional material to develop and explore a series of rounds, sea shanties and hollers celebrating summer, cycle paths and unlimited bus travel.

It doesn’t matter if you have been in a choir before or only sing in your shower, if you enjoy singing, please come along and lend your voice. We’d love to have you! All are welcome. Come along to Basic Mountain, a wonderful, light space on Hill Street, in the very heart of the city, which was originally built as a dance studio and has lovely acoustics thanks to its domed ceiling, where we will be serving lunch and refreshments for everybody involved.
